EdTechReview Announces Partnership between Simplilearn and Google Cloud Learning

EdTechReview, the leading education technology blog, is thrilled to announce that Simplilearn, a global digital skills training provider, has partnered with Google Cloud Learning to help over 5 million learners to upskill and gain the latest digital skills. This collaboration has been designed to provide a high-quality learning experience to its learners, with measurable outcomes. The best-in-class Google Cloud labs and content offerings will be integrated into Simplilearn’s programs (DevOps Engineer and Cloud Architect) to strengthen the learning paths and upskill the learners.

The move will enable learners to access a wide range of cutting-edge resources and training created to address the current skills gaps in the industry. This includes online courses, mentorship programs, and hands-on training, coupled with Google Cloud Labs. Upon course completion, learners will be awarded a joint certificate from both Google Cloud and Simplilearn, which can be used to enhance career prospects and gain recognition in the marketplace.

Krishna Kumar, Founder and CEO of Simplilearn stated, “Simplilearn has always been committed to providing the best-in-class programs and content to our learners to change their lives. This collaboration with Google Cloud is another step towards our goal of bringing quality upskilling to learners in India and around the world. We will provide access to Google Cloud hands-on labs as a part of our existing upskilling programs. Through this initiative, our focus is to have 200,000 learners achieve the right skill set to create better opportunities for themselves in the industry.”

Lee Moore, Vice President of Google Cloud Consulting, commented on the collaboration, “We are excited to launch our Google Cloud training content on the Simplilearn platform. This collaboration presents a fantastic opportunity for learners worldwide to access the training needed to pursue cloud computing careers and build generative AI skills on a global learning platform.”

Simplilearn is based in San Francisco, California, and Bangalore, India, and was founded in 2010 by Krishna Kumar with a mission to empower people via digital skills. Its role-based, skill-focused, industry-recognized, and globally relevant training programs are ideal upskilling solutions for diverse career or/and business goals. Recently, the company launched its first offline centre in Delhi’s suburb of Noida. In 2021, global private equity firm Blackstone invested $250 million in Simplilearn for a controlling stake. Last year in November, Simplilearn raised $45 million in a new funding round led by GSV Ventures at an undisclosed valuation.

EdTechReview is excited to witness this collaboration between Simplilearn and Google Cloud Learning and how they are providing teachers and students with the latest digital skills. This collaboration will provide a great opportunity for learners to access the training they need to pursue cloud computing careers and build generative AI skills. We look forward to seeing the success of this partnership.
