As educators look for ways to bridge the ever-growing skill gap, Accredible has emerged as the go-to platform for digital credentialing. Accredible, the world’s leading digital credentialing platform, recently announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount in a Series B funding round. Frontier Growth led the funding round with participation from The Stephens Group, PivotNorth, and Uncork Capital.

Accredible was founded in 2013 by Danny King and Alan Heppenstall with the mission to host the world’s credentials and become the world’s first verifiable repository of human capital. The platform securely issues, manages, tracks, and verifies over 75 million career-advancing credentials globally. Accredible integrates with many learning software programs such as Canvas, D2L Brightspace, Kajabi, Kryterion Webassessor, Moodle, Thinkific, and many more.

The fresh investment will help the company grow and innovate to meet the global demand for its platform from universities, associations, and technology companies looking to create and develop their digital certification programs. Over 2,000 organizations are already using the Accredible platform to issue, deliver, and manage digital certificates and open badges, including Google, Skillsoft, Slack, Chartered Banker Institute, University of Cambridge, AMPP, Hootsuite, IEEE, Cengage, MIT, Rutgers, UC Berkeley, AMBA, and The Digital Marketing Institute.

Andrew Lindner, Founding Partner of Frontier Capital, who will join the Accredible Board of Directors, said: “We are delighted to partner with Accredible in their journey to accelerate the immutable trend of digitalization of the credential market. Accredible has emerged as the leading platform for third-party issuers of digital credentials with a particular focus on driving more revenue and better client retention. This growth equity investment will enable the company to continue enhancing its line of credential products, offering even more value to its customers while providing an exceptional customer experience for the recipients of credentials.”

Ryan Morrow, Principal of Stephens Group, added: “We are excited to partner with the Accredible team as they continue executing their vision to bring credentialing into the digital world. Through our EdTech vertical, we identified the need for more efficient management of credentials as they have become an increasingly critical component of the modern educational journey. Students now earn numerous credentials throughout their careers, and Accredible’s solution enables the efficient management of these credentials, both for the issuer and the student.”

Accredible is helping to bridge the skill gap and make credentials more accessible and verifiable to everyone. With the help of its digital credentials, individuals can share their achievements and prove their credibility, organizations can help their students get hired, and employers can find the right person for the job. As lifelong learning becomes more important for career success, Accredible is providing an efficient, secure way to issue, manage, track, and verify credentials.
