Education technology is revolutionizing the way in which students are learning and preparing for their future career paths. Coto and Million Minds, two leading EduTech platforms, have recently collaborated to launch ‘She Academy’, an initiative that aims to empower and engage women aged 18-20 who are ready to enter the corporate world.

This first phase of ‘She Academy’ has started in four major cities: Chennai, New Delhi, Pune, and Bangalore. The plan is to expand to more than 30 cities, impacting 100 Indian campuses. The program is divided into two sections: one focuses on personality development such as soft skills, life skills, mental health and wellbeing; the other on entrepreneurship, upskilling, and technological advancements.

Co-founder of Coto, Aparna Acharekar, commented on the development: “We hope to revolutionize how women’s careers take shape by giving them the freedom to express, engage, and be rewarded.” Through the ‘She Academy’ community on Coto, students can access online and offline college workshops and skill sessions from anywhere in the world.

Million Minds’ Founder & CEO, Sanjoy Chakrabarty, explained the motivation behind the collaboration: “Our dream is to foster an ecosystem that encourages campus students, especially Gen Z girls, to think about their careers before even stepping out into the world.” Million Minds was founded in 2016 with the goal of helping student entrepreneurs from campuses across India, particularly from tier II and III cities. The company has built a collaborative ecosystem that brings together all startup stakeholders, with the mission of delivering the best of the startup space on Indian campuses.

Teachers have a key role to play in this effort, both in the classroom and in mentoring students outside the classroom. By teaching students the soft skills and business acumen they need to succeed, teachers can help them prepare for their future. With initiatives like ‘She Academy’, teachers can help empower young women to be confident and successful in their future careers.
