EdTechReview (edtechreview.in) is excited to share the news of the recent collaboration between Lighthouse Learning (formerly known as EuroKids International), India’s leading Early Childhood and K-12 Education Group, and York College of Pennsylvania in the United States. This three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is set to provide teachers and students with enhanced opportunities for academic growth and access to higher education pathways.

The partnership between the two groups will create a series of multi-disciplinary learning workshops conducted by the faculty at York College. Moreover, these workshops will also provide students with the opportunity to compete for highly competitive scholarships and explore the college’s diverse range of programmes. This hands-on approach to education is in line with Lighthouse Learning’s mission of fostering personal development in students and developing the skills needed to thrive in the future global economy.

The MoU was signed by Prajodh Rajan, Co-Founder and Group CEO of Lighthouse Learning and Dr. Thomas D. Burns, President of York College of Pennsylvania. York College offers over 70 majors in professional programs, sciences, arts, and humanities. These programs range from STEM programmes to Film and Media Arts, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Cybersecurity Management, and Environmental and Sustainability Studies.

Prajodh Rajan, Co-founder and Group CEO of Lighthouse Learning expressed his happiness over the partnership: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with York College, a renowned institution known for its high-quality professional programs. This collaboration marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to student success, opening new possibilities for students. By offering access to diverse learning experiences and an array of scholarships, we are not only reshaping the educational landscape but also providing our students with the tools to unlock their full potential. Together with York College, we are committed to forging a new frontier in education for our students and shaping the trajectory of their futures.”

York College is committed to providing its students with a high-quality education that emphasizes personal development, close faculty/student mentoring relationships, and real-world experiences. It also works with the community to benefit its students and the broader region. To make world-class, private education affordable, the institute offers various scholarships and competitive-based awards.

As part of the MoU, students who attend secondary schools operated by Lighthouse Learning for at least two academic years will be eligible to apply for a guaranteed USD 9,000 merit scholarship per academic year for the entire four-year program. In addition, these students will also have the opportunity to apply for non-guaranteed, competitive-based scholarships offered by York College, including the James L. Mohatt Excellence in Music Scholarship, Vincent Risley Scholarship, Eisenhart Community Scholars, and Presidential Research Fellowship.

This partnership is an exciting step forward for both Lighthouse Learning and York College of Pennsylvania. It will provide teachers and students with the unique opportunity to access world-class education and to realize their academic dreams. We look forward to the positive impact this collaboration will have on the student’s academic success, learning journey and overall development as global future leaders.
