Educators are always on the lookout for ways to help their students gain employability skills. Now, a Dhaka-based EdTech company, Interactive Cares, is offering a one-stop virtual platform for exactly that. They recently raised an investment of $100,000 in seed funding from Accelerating Asia’s accelerator programme’s 9th cohort.
Interactive Cares was co-founded in 2020 by Rare Al Samir and Jamila Bupasha Khushbu, with the mission of empowering the Bangladeshi people with academic, career, and skill development opportunities. Through events, campaigns, courses, master classes and real-time communication, the platform has experienced remarkable growth. Many of the enrolled students receive certificates from Interactive Cares’ collaborating partner universities, and have the potential to be hired by partner companies once their courses are completed.
In addition to the seed funding from Accelerating Asia, Interactive Cares has also secured a $220,000 pre-seed A round from Flagship Ventures, Blue Aura Ventures, and other investors in the United States.
Interactive Cares is the first Bangladeshi startup to be selected for the Accelerating Asia Ventures programme, and also the first to participate in the SuperCharger Ventures virtual accelerator programme, another London-based EdTech-focused accelerator.
The funds raised will be used to launch a new AI-powered product and expand their current offerings. This is an exciting new development in the world of Education Technology, and teachers should be sure to keep their eyes on Interactive Cares to see what the future holds.
