Technology is revolutionizing the world of education and the need for upskilling has become a necessity. To ensure students are up to date with the latest technology, Friends Union for Energising Lives (FUEL), a non-profit organization that focuses on skill development and education, has joined forces with Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC). The two organizations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to train 1000 candidates in new age fields such as Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), AI data science, cloud architect 2.0, and software engineering.
The initiative, which is part of Chief Minister Kaushalya Karnataka Yojane (CMKKY), will focus on preparing the workforce of Karnataka for competing in regional, national, and international markets. Through the partnership, FUEL will mobilise and select 250 candidates, while KSDC provides the necessary support. FUEL’s experienced training personnel will ensure that the candidates gain in-depth and practical knowledge of emerging sectors such as AI and ML.
FUEL’s Founder & CEO, Ketan Deshpande, shared his thoughts on the initiative: “FUEL has been at the forefront in offering an upskilling curriculum to develop and implement various skill-training programmes based on the emerging demand across industries. Our innovative methods hone the creative minds of young learners and ensure them the best placements at high-end companies.”
FUEL’s Chief Mentor, Santosh Huralikoppi, further explained: “India has established itself as the hub of quality professionals. Considering today’s rising demand in technology and software development, FUEL is dedicated to imparting skilling and upskilling with a unique and complex learning environment to explore and experience different field settings and achieve clinical competencies. KSDC’s global recognition for skill development programmes and training is a great opportunity for FUEL to ensure that participants have wider professional opportunities as they obtain the right skills in tandem with the evolving global requirements.”
FUEL is an NSDC Innovation Partner that was started in 2006 with the aim of developing skills for tomorrow. The platform works with industry partners, academia, and other public institutions worldwide and provides students with more access to information and opportunities. FUEL recently signed an MOU with Niti Aayog to work together on the development of 117 Aspirational Districts of India and its team members have been awarded the “Champions of Change” title.
This program is a great opportunity for teachers and educators to learn more about the latest technology and skill development initiatives. It is a great way to ensure that teachers and students alike are up to date with the latest technology and can take advantage of the opportunities that come with it.
