The world of education is rapidly changing, and with it, the expectations schools have for their students. An education technology blog recently reported on the audited placement report released by Masters’ Union, a new-age business school based in Gurugram. The report revealed that the 1-year MBA/PGP programme had an average package of INR 34.07 LPA, with the highest package offered at INR 57.08 LPA. Brickwork Analytics, the rating and auditing agency that audits IIM Ahmedabad’s placement report, audited the placement report.
137 companies participated in the recruitment drive, and the top 25% of the batch landed an average package of INR 44.67 LPA, while the bottom 25% landed an average package of INR 22.35 LPA, an 11.64% increase from the previous year’s average. Manoj Kohli, Chairman of the Board of Governors (Masters’ Union), expressed his pleasure at the success of the placements, attributing it to the hard work of the students and the Careers Advisory Team.
Pratham Mittal, the Founder of Masters’ Union, highlighted the school’s mission to arm students with top-tier education and practical skills. The success stories of their alumni include positions in renowned companies like Bain & Company, Cisco, EY-Parthenon, ISRO, Razorpay, and Ziploan, which is a testament to the programme. The cohort of 2023 saw an impressive 3.91X jump in salaries from INR 8.7 LPA before their MBA to INR 34.07 LPA after.
The report also showed the various career transitions for students, from Scientist Engineer at ISRO, Product Manager at Cisco, and Growth Manager at Seekho 19, to internal growth within industries, such as Senior Manager – Co Lending Partnerships at Ziploan, Senior Management Consultant at EY, and Product Strategy Manager at MoEngage. In addition, several startups were also founded by students who had undergone the Venture Initiation Program.
Teachers and educators should take note of the success of Masters’ Union in providing real-world learning opportunities for their students, and consider incorporating similar approaches in their own classrooms. Doing so will equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
