Teachers across India now have access to a powerful new educational resource: the Piramal School of Leadership (PSL). Launched by the Piramal Group’s philanthropic arm, the Piramal Foundation, the PSL campus in Jaipur, Rajasthan, will house five specialized schools and provide training for up to 150,000 middle managers from state and government agencies, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and non-profit organizations every year.
The foundation stone of the campus was laid by Chairman of Piramal Group, Mr Ajay Piramal; Vice Chairperson of Piramal Group, Dr Swati Piramal; and CEO of Piramal Foundation, Mr Aditya Natraj, in the presence of government officials, youth, women changemakers, and business and thought leaders.
The 32-acre campus, set to begin operations by December 2025, will provide specialized learning in five key development areas. The School of Education and Systems Change will focus on instilling the concept of ‘Sewa Bhaav’, or selfless service, through its initiatives. The School of Health will work to revolutionize public health systems, while the School of Climate and Sustainability will promote sustainable practices. The School of Justice will strive to improve the legal system and the School of Inclusion will emphasize mainstreaming inclusivity, particularly for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
Commenting on the launch, Chairman of Piramal Group Ajay Piramal said, “We are building an institution and nurturing a vision for India’s future. This School manifests our belief in the transformative power of leadership rooted in Sewa Bhaav. Here, we will cultivate leaders who are skilled and deeply committed to the ethos of selfless service. We aim to empower these leaders to drive positive change, fostering an equitable, progressive, and resilient society. We embark on this journey to shape a stronger, more prosperous India.”

We aim to build a landmark institution that will inspire the spirit of innovation and agility required to realize the vision of a developed India, where every leader contributes to the nation’s journey towards excellence and equity.”
The PSL campus will serve as a powerful teaching and learning resource for teachers across India, offering them the opportunity to build their skills and knowledge in a variety of areas. It will also provide youth leadership development through its Gandhi Fellowship programme, women’s leadership development via the Karuna Fellowship, capacity-building for social sector partners, and guidance to social entrepreneurs looking to make a lasting impact.
