EdTechReview.in, India’s leading education technology blog, is excited to announce that Adda247, the country’s largest vernacular test prep platform, has acquired 3D experiential learning-based platform Veeksha. With this acquisition, Adda247 aims to provide interactive learning modules to students, enabling an in-depth understanding of concepts through better visualisations.

Adda247 and Veeksha will merge into one to complete vision synergies as a part of the deal. Co-founded in 2021 by Gaurishankar Singh, Hariprasad Bommidi and Miral Songhela, Veeksha produces interactive 3D simulations and AR/VR learning modules for mathematics and science, which are suitable for modern students who prefer to learn on digital devices. The startup’s immersive and experiential learning modules are cross-platform and can be used by both teachers and learners. Veeksha’s goal is to create a system where students can learn from virtual labs and experiential, gamified learning.

Adda247 Founder & CEO Anil Nagar said: “We are working to scale up our AR/VR capabilities and offer the best learning to the students coming to our platform. With Veeksha, we plan to simplify complex concepts into simple 3D visualisations, virtual experiments, and explanatory videos, ultimately leading students to perform better.”

Adda247 wants to strengthen its position to cater to K-12 and JEE/NEET aspirants. Early data shows that the company has witnessed a more than 30% increase in engagement for the student cohort using 3D, AR and VR experiential learning tools.

Veeksha Co-founder Gaurishankar Singh added: “We are excited to introduce the expertise of Veeksha to all content consumers in the educational institution space. Adda247’s large user base, along with our ability to create 3D visualised content, can pave the way for exciting advancements in education with AR and VR.”

Adda247 was founded in 2016 by Anil Nagar and Saurabh Bansal. It offers online courses for more than 500 exams, including government job exams, UPSC, IIT JEE, NEET, CUET, etc. The platform offers comprehensive solutions for all learning needs, including online live classes, on-demand video courses, mock tests, and e-books. Adda247’s mission is to bring quality education to the masses by providing online courses for all major exams in more than ten regional languages in India.

In 2021, Adda247 had acquired UPSC-focused EdTech platform StudyIQ Education. Last year in October, the firm raised $35 million in a funding round led by WestBridge Capital. The round also witnessed participation from Google as a new investor and existing investors such as Info Edge and Asha Impact.

At EdTechReview.in, we are excited to witness the potential benefits that Adda247’s acquisition of Veeksha will bring to teachers and students. We believe that the addition of 3D, AR and VR experiential learning tools will help teachers create engaging and dynamic learning experiences for their students.
