Education technology is revolutionizing the way students learn, and today’s announcement from CSC Academy and TeamLease EdTech’s Digivarsity is a prime example of this. The two companies have partnered with the Government of Jharkhand to enhance the employability and educational opportunities of the state’s students.
The initiative, inaugurated on December 8th, will provide Jharkhand’s students with access to a variety of work-integrated degree and certificate programs, such as Business Administration (BBA), Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Arts (MA), Master of Social Work (MSW), Digital Marketing, and more. This approach combines academic learning with on-the-job training, giving students the opportunity to gain real-world experience while pursuing their degrees.
Naveen Sharma, Head of CSC Academy, commented on the collaboration: “We live in an ever-changing world, and for young people to remain employable, they need to invest in continuous upskilling and re-skilling. With this partnership, youth from all backgrounds in Jharkhand can access education with practical skills that will help shape their careers through learning-by-doing and earning-while-learning.”
Shantanu Rooj, Founder & CEO of TeamLease EdTech, echoed these sentiments, saying “TeamLease EdTech is committed to developing a skilled workforce to drive socio-economic growth in India. We’re proud to be entering Jharkhand through our collaboration with CSC Academy, and are using our Virtual Learning Environment to bring quality education and employability skills to students in the state’s remote areas. We believe that work-integrated degrees and certificate programs will have a transformative effect on Jharkhand’s employability landscape.”
This partnership aligns with the larger vision of making India more employable, and is a key step towards achieving the national goal of launching such initiatives in all Indian states. It also reinforces the Skill India Mission’s objectives of training millions of Indians in new-age skills.
TeamLease EdTech provides universities with services such as enrollment, learning, upskilling, apprenticeships, student support, and assessment through its managed services platform. Digivarsity is India’s first AI-powered work-integrated degree and career discovery platform, with the mission of transforming the nation’s higher education and employability landscape over the next five years by affecting 10 lakh students. The platform is partnered with India’s top ten universities and more than 150 leading employers, and helps bridge the gap between education and employment.
This initiative is a major breakthrough for teachers, and is sure to have a positive effect on students’ future prospects. It is an exciting time for education technology, and we look forward to seeing the results of this collaboration.
