Digital Learning Institute Raises €1.8 Million in Funding Round

The Digital Learning Institute (DLI), a leading Ireland-based provider of digital learning courses and upskilling programs, has recently secured €1.8 million in a funding round led by Davy EIIS Fund (a joint venture between BDO and Davy). Additional investors included Enterprise Ireland and private investors from the digital learning industry.

The raised capital will be used to expand operations, create ten more jobs over the next 12 months, and expand DLI’s global reach, focusing on the US and UK markets.

Founded in 2021 by John Kilroy and Nicola O’Neill, DLI’s mission is to make world-class digital learning education available to learning professionals, trainers, instructors, and educators. In order to ensure the highest standards of education, DLI’s courses are accredited by Glasgow Caledonian University and industry leaders. The company’s hands-on approach, one-to-one mentoring, and project-based work enable students to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to advance their careers in digital learning and create high-quality digital learning experiences.

Commenting on the investment, Enterprise Ireland CEO Leo Clancy said: “DLI is bringing innovation and adaptability to the critical area of upskilling and lifelong learning that can benefit the workforce and the broader economy. Under the leadership of new CEO Aaron McKenna, we are confident that DLI can go from strength to strength and expand its global footprint.”

DLI has already enabled over 5000 students to advance their careers in digital learning or gain accreditation. To spearhead the growth of the company, Aaron McKenna was appointed as the new CEO.

This news comes at a time when digital learning is gaining traction among educators, trainers, and students alike. With the help of DLI, teachers, trainers, and students can benefit from the latest digital tools and upskilling programs to become digital learning professionals. Teaching professionals can now equip themselves with the latest digital learning tools and techniques to ensure that their students are able to gain the best possible education.
