EdTechReview.in is thrilled to announce the partnership between SkillHero and CareerSafe, two leading providers of career training and development programs. SkillHero is the leading career network for the skilled trades and now, with the help of CareerSafe’s online training programs, is dedicated to increasing the number of certificates and credentials earned by individuals ready to enter the skilled trades workforce.
This strategic collaboration brings Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training and professional development programs to the members of SkillHero’s extensive network. Quincy Nadel, Chief Operating Officer of SkillHero, shared, “We’re focused on solving the skilled labor shortage. One way we do that is by connecting members on SkillHero with training and resources that help support their career development.”
Founded in 2003, CareerSafe is widely recognized for its interactive and innovative online training programs that adhere to the highest quality standards. The platform has set out to address the safety training gap for young workers to make jobs safer for workers. From safety and health training to employability skills and cybersecurity awareness, CareerSafe is providing the foundational skills workers need to launch successful careers.
Sherry Pruitt, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing at CareerSafe, said, “We’re excited about this partnership as both SkillHero and CareerSafe share a common goal of educating and training young workers to excel in their chosen careers. The result is a pipeline of well-trained potential employees with a nationally recognized credential ready for work.”
SkillHero, currently available in Illinois and Wisconsin, is working to provide individuals with the resources, connections, and pathways to explore and establish a fulfilling trade career. Moreover, the company also recently launched ApprenticeConnect, the largest searchable database of construction apprenticeships that allows SkillHero members to quickly explore, filter, and apply for apprenticeships that align with their career aspirations.
Teachers are a key part of helping students prepare for their future careers. By partnering with CareerSafe, SkillHero is providing teachers with an additional tool to help their students explore and pursue a career in the skilled trades. This partnership is a great example of the power of edtech – to connect students and teachers with the resources they need to succeed.
