Earlywork Raises $1.5 Million to Train Tech Sales Talent and Create Jobs

Edtechreview.in – Earlywork Academy is revolutionizing the way tech skills are taught and trained, and they’ve just received a new injection of capital to fuel their growth.

Earlywork, a sales training startup, recently raised $1.5 million in a seed round lead by Ari and Lucy Klinger’s family fund, No Brand, and supported by Jelix Ventures, Archangel Ventures, Ultraviolet Ventures, MYOB Paul Robson, Bond Capital’s Jay Simons, OIF partner David Shein, Dave Shepherd, Dave O’Mahony, and Sam Rahmanian.

Founded by Dan Brockwell, Jono Herman, and Marina Wu in early 2021, Earlywork started as a careers newsletter and grew into Australia’s first tech bootcamp. Earlywork Academy provides one-on-one job search coaching, in-demand tech sales skills, and direct introductions to top tech companies that are hiring. Their three-week cohort-based program consists of eight 2-hour live virtual sessions that blend theory and practice. A full-day live sales apprenticeship is also an option.

Dan Brockwell, one of Earlywork’s co-founders, said that tech companies are shifting their strategy from growth to profitability, making quality sales talent more important than ever. Universities are still struggling to train sales skills, so employers have to bear the burden. Brockwell said: “We want to build a better business school for the tech industry globally.”

Earlywork’s focus on training and employment for entry-level tech workers has attracted people from diverse backgrounds. Brockwell said that Earlywork designs their curriculum alongside sales leaders to train talent with the skills companies need.

With this new funding, Earlywork plans to expand their training model internationally, starting with Singapore, hire new employees, and focus on customer success.

Earlywork Academy is providing teachers with a unique opportunity to upskill their students in the growing tech industry. With their job guarantee and cutting-edge training program, Earlywork is revolutionizing the way tech skills are taught and trained.
