Looking for a way to assess your students’ understanding? Check out Educational Initiatives (Ei)! Ei is a leading EdTech company with over 22 years of success in the K-12 learning space. Recently, Ei announced its partnership with the renowned Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth (CTY).
This partnership marks the first time an Indian EdTech company has collaborated with CTY, offering talented students from India the opportunity to participate in the center’s online and on-campus summer programs.
As a part of this collaboration, Indian elementary, middle, and high school students who score in the 98th percentile or higher in Math or English on Ei ASSET and Ei ASSET Talent Search can now submit their scores to qualify for admission to CTY courses.
CTY offers hundreds of online and on-campus courses, including Global Politics: Human Rights and Justice; Human Nature and Technology; Aeronautical Engineering; Scratch Programming; Java Programming; Macroeconomics; Microeconomics; Calculus; Physics; Biology; and languages such as Spanish, Chinese, and English. Students will also gain access to expert instructors capable of addressing the specific needs of gifted students and a network of peers from around the globe who share their interests.
Educational Initiatives (Ei) aims to leverage the twin levers of cutting-edge academic research and a technology-based solutions approach to revolutionize how children engaged in the K-12 education space learn. The platform reaches many children across different strata of society, irrespective of the kind of education they receive or the curriculum they follow. Ei believes in making a difference in education through personalized learning and ensuring that students learn with understanding.
Commenting on the partnership, Chief Executive Officer of Ei, Pranav Kothari, said:
CTY’s acceptance of the Ei ASSET assessment is a testament to the faith that top global education institutions have in Ei ASSET Talent Search (Ei ATS) and Ei ASSET, our scientifically designed assessment tools. It also recognizes the exceptional talent of Indian students and aims to provide them with the resources, support, and global exposure they need to excel in their chosen fields. The Ei ASSET Talent Search (Ei ATS) evaluation process is extremely demanding, with only the top 15 percentile cutting out the 4 lakh students taking the Ei ASSET test every year. This means that only the most accomplished students from India can apply to CTY.
Founded in 1979 at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore (USA), CTY has been a non-profit dedicated to identifying and developing the talents of advanced elementary, middle, and high school students worldwide through its acclaimed programs, research, counselling services, and advocacy. By partnering with CTY, Ei offers Indian students the unique opportunity to experience learning at an institution that boasts an impressive list of alumni, including the founders of Facebook and Google, popstar star Lady Gaga, journalist Ronan Farrow, and tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee (MKBHD).
Ei is a global leader in assessment research and educational technology that helps improve the quality of education in schools for students and government systems at scale. It specializes in pedagogical research, assessments and personalized learning tools to help measure learning outcomes, and create solutions.
