Educational technology is revolutionizing traditional learning methods and opening up new opportunities for students across the globe. In a move to further strengthen ties between India and France, the French Minister of State for Development, Francophonie, and International Partnerships, Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, recently announced the opening of two new branches of Alliance Francaise in Udaipur and Bhubaneswar.

This expansion of French language education in India is part of France’s goal to host 20,000 Indian students by 2025 and three lakh by 2030. During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Paris earlier this year, France announced that it was establishing international classes to facilitate the seamless integration of Indian students into French academic programmes.

The French Institute in India has also launched the ‘French for All’ campaign in 2021, providing French language training in Delhi public schools. This is the first time that foreign language training has been available in public schools, giving students the same educational chances as those in private institutions. The programme has been a huge success, with over 3,000 students enrolled in these classes. The initiative has also been inaugurated in Telangana, with plans to expand to other regions in the future.

The introduction of international classes and foreign language training in public schools demonstrates the power of educational technology in providing equitable access to quality education. By leveraging the latest technology, students can gain access to resources and learn strategies that will help them to succeed in their academic pursuits.

As educational technology continues to reshape the landscape of education, the introduction of foreign language training will open up new opportunities for students in India and other countries. Through this initiative, students will be able to gain valuable skills that will help them to navigate the global job market and pursue their career ambitions.
