The world of education has been revolutionized by the power of technology, and one Italy-based startup is using this technology to tackle the challenges posed by bureaucratic personnel management. Jet HR, an online recruitment platform, recently raised $5.1 million (€4.7 million) in its pre-seed round, led by Exor Ventures and Italian Founders Fund.
The investment round was supported by some high-profile individuals, such as Luca Ascani (founder of Lambda Alpha), Dario Brignone and Alberto Dalmasso (co-founders of Satispay), Max Ciociola (founder of Musixmatch), Luca Ferrari (founder of Bending Spoons), Luca Foresti (CEO at Santagostino), Diego Piacentini (founder of View Different), Matteo Pichi (founder of Poke House), Giorgio Tinacci (founder of Casavo), and other angel investors who have held key roles in international tech companies, such as David Clarke (former CTO at Workday) and Joe Zadeh (former VP Product at Airbnb).
Jet HR was founded by Marco Ogliengo and Francesco Scalambrino with the aim of unifying administrative tasks, IT operations, employee and freelancer management, and simplifying labour law concepts. Through its single platform, the company automates payroll (processing, issuing and archiving payroll) and guides employers and managers through all phases of managing their employees. With an easy-to-understand and simple-to-navigate interface, businesses of all sizes can access detailed employee information, obtain labour cost simulations, send contracts and formalize hiring independently.
“As an entrepreneur, I have experienced the typical frustration of those who run businesses in Italy: hours and hours dedicated to bureaucracy, administrative tasks and interpreting obscure requirements,” said Jet HR Co-founder & CEO, Marco Ogliengo. “Winning the support and enthusiasm of so many other entrepreneurs confirms that we are on the right track.”
The company also provides a partner labour consultant to each client. It is building a network of chartered labour consultants who focus on proactive and value-added consultancy, such as the design and execution of welfare plans, the updating and identification of sensitive issues or opportunities arising from the continuous evolution of labour regulations, and much more.
Jet HR Chief Product Officer, Francesco Scalambrino, commented on the platform, saying: “Efficiently managing all employee-related activities, starting from payroll, can significantly contribute to a company’s competitiveness. We aim to bridge this gap for Italian companies by automating activities that consume employees’ precious time, allowing them to focus on strategic initiatives based on their roles and skills.”
The platform also provides benefits to employees and contractors, with a simple mobile app that allows them to request vacation days, submit expense reports, and access other features that enhance transparency and streamline the relationship between employers and their workforce. Jet HR is set to transform the way businesses in Italy operate, making administrative processes more fluid, clear, and transparent for everyone involved.
