AI-Powered Generative Tutor Ace Images Makes STEM Learning Easier

Recently, Numerade has launched a new feature called Ace Images, which enables AI-generated images to be produced alongside written responses. This feature is accessed through Numerade’s generative AI tutor, Ace, which can learn students’ unique study patterns through questions asked.
Ace Images produces original visual aids such as diagrams, graphics, models, and charts for specific physics and math problems. It can also summarize and interact with photos and files of handwritten notes, lecture slides, and more. This new feature allows Numerade to better serve students in their preferred learning modality and deepen their understanding of complex STEM concepts, resulting in more positive learning outcomes.
Studies show that 65% of the general population are visual learners, retaining 80% of what they see, compared to 20% and 10% of what they read and hear. Therefore, Numerade’s AI tutor provides a real-life, multi-sensory learning environment where students communicate in various organic channels by allowing students to receive both text and image responses.
When developing Ace Images, accuracy was of the utmost importance. AI image techniques excel at creative tasks such as character creation and environment design, but need help to create images that require high contextual accuracy, such as STEM subjects. Numerade’s hybrid system of LLMs, deterministic functions, and proprietary data has reduced error rates to 10%.
The learning tool is integrated into the existing Ace product and is now available to all Numerade customers, initially focusing on physics and maths before expanding to other subjects.
