EdTechReview.in is excited to announce the recent partnership between Springboard, an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers, and Loyola University New Orleans, a private Jesuit university. This partnership enables Loyola to offer university-credentialed bootcamps in data analytics and software engineering that are completely remote and self-paced.

Designed to fit into the lives of busy working professionals, these courses open the door for a new career path and the opportunity to upskill without prior industry or academic experience. The first cohorts open until August 28, and classes begin on September 5. After that, students can sign up anytime to be assigned to the next monthly cohort.

Executive Director of Loyola University New Orleans Office of Professional and Continuing Studies, Jill Boatright, expressed the university’s commitment to providing professional and personal development for the greater New Orleans community: “Our partnership with Springboard enables students to learn new skill sets that lead to more significant career opportunities and financial growth. Through Springboard, students will quickly gain real-life experience that prepares them for jobs in the growing tech sector in New Orleans and beyond.”

Since its inception in 2013, Springboard has helped more than 20,000 students around the globe build the skills to transform their careers. The platform’s market-driven curriculums are developed by industry professionals, who consult with top tech companies to ensure that their students have the skills employers are looking for. Students spend the majority of their time working on real-world projects and creating a portfolio to demonstrate their abilities to potential employers.

With weekly one-on-one calls with industry mentors and guidance from career coaches, students are well-equipped to land a job in the tech sector. After completing the program, graduates will receive a certificate of completion from Loyola, and 92% of job-qualified individuals who reported receiving an offer received it within 12 months of graduation.

Colin Lumsden, Vice President of Business Development, Springboard, added: “New Orleans’ median tech wages are 94% higher than overall median wages across the metropolitan area, and our skills-based courses prepare professionals to get hired for these attractive roles. We are honored to work with Loyola University New Orleans to provide more students access to supportive learning programs that allow them to enter the tech industry and experience upward mobility, even without a four-year degree.”

Teachers and students alike can learn more about the Data Analytics Bootcamp and Software Engineering Bootcamp on the Springboard website. Scholarships and financing are available for eligible students, and enrollment for the first cohorts is open until August 28. With Springboard’s partnership with Loyola, both teachers and students are able to access cutting-edge tech programming that can be completed remotely and at their own pace.
