Technology has revolutionized the way we learn, and Meghalaya is leading the charge! iDream Education’s Ka Lawei initiative has equipped more than 5000 students in Meghalaya with iPrep, a digital learning platform. The Education Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Rakham Sangma Ji, lauded the District Administration in East Jaintia Hills for leading the ambitious drive to equip teachers with innovative school classes.
The Ka Lawei initiative was launched in August 2022 with a pilot project in 20 schools. Once successful, the initiative expanded to 30 more schools in January 2023, and currently, it has benefitted 166 classrooms with iPrep Digital Class. The iPrep Digital Class is a MBOSE-aligned digital content platform that smooths the transition from textbooks to animated lessons, syllabus books, practising, notes, and other digital content for grades 6–12. It also allows teachers to align digital teaching with their lesson plans.
The success of the Ka Lawei initiative has been tremendous, and it was recognized during a felicitation ceremony on 7 August 2023. During the ceremony, the Honourable Education Minister announced that 50 schools in the region have been equipped with smart TV digital content. Nine teachers from various East Jaintia Hills district schools were awarded for embracing smart classes effortlessly.

The Ka Lawei initiative is transforming the classroom learning experience into one that is enjoyable and effective, fostering a joyful learning environment in schools of EJH, Meghalaya. By providing students with a comprehensive Bridge Course that tackles historical learning gaps, teachers and students alike are excited about the initiative.
