EdTech is changing the way we learn, and the recent partnership between ConveGenius, NITI Aayog, and the UP Government is a great example of how EdTech can be leveraged for positive educational outcomes.
This pay-for-success outcome-based EdTech program is set to revolutionise the education landscape in India, focusing on improving learning outcomes in four aspirational districts of Uttar Pradesh: Chandauli, Sonbhadra, Balrampur, and Fatehpur. This two-year program, in collaboration with MSDF (Michael and Susan Dell Foundation) and GDi Partners, aims to reach 280 schools with 70 schools per district, benefitting students from grades 3 to 8.
The core of this program lies in ConveGenius’ Personalized and Adaptive Learning (PAL) solution, CG PAL. This AI-driven solution helps teachers identify a student’s learning gaps and personalise their learning journey to address those gaps. The solution also equips teachers with actionable reports, lesson plans, and a comprehensive dashboard to monitor student progress in different learning competencies.
The goal of this program is to ensure that participating students achieve two years of learning gain (YLG) compared to non-participating students over the two-year period. To ensure transparency and credibility, an independent third-party agency will conduct baseline, midline, and end-line evaluations to track and verify the learning gains.
To ensure a successful implementation, ConveGenius has already set up 280 PAL Labs within eight weeks, providing tablets to students and comprehensive training to teachers. This program serves as a great example of how EdTech can be used to improve student learning outcomes and should inspire further adoption of pay-for-success models nationwide.
ConveGenius was founded in 2013 with the mission to democratize quality EdTech for all students. Backed by impact investors such as Michael & Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF) and Heritas Capital, the company currently impacts 80 million+ students through partnerships with 16 states in India.
This program provides a great opportunity for teachers to tap into the power of EdTech and use it to improve student learning outcomes. With the right tools, teachers can create more engaging and personalized learning experiences for their students, leading to improved learning outcomes.
