MedLern Adds Multilingual Capabilities in 8 Indian Languages To Enhance Training for Healthcare Professionals

Educators are embracing digital training platforms to equip their students with the skills they need to succeed in today’s rapidly changing world. One such platform, MedLern, is now offering its courses in eight Indian regional languages, making it easier for students to learn without language barriers.

The move comes in response to the demand from healthcare professionals and hospitals in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Surveys have shown that students from smaller towns often struggle to understand teachings in English, while those from bigger cities have better knowledge of the language.

The eight languages included in the pilot phase are Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, and Bengali. MedLern currently provides its platform and courses to healthcare professionals in these regions, and is seeing adoption in hospitals of all sizes.

The courses are tailored to meet the needs of medical and nursing assistants, allied health professionals, technicians, and more. The content is basic and operational, and is designed to be easily understood by everyone. The company has worked with internal and external experts to create and compile all the content into the different languages, and has put a rigorous review process in place to ensure quality is maintained.

According to Co-founder & CEO of MedLern, Deepak Sharma, “We’ll focus on some other areas with emerging demand in the future, including courses for healthcare at home, mental health, and other specialized areas. One good thing about these new courses is that they are cost-effective because we realize that practitioners from Tier 2 and 3 regions that need these courses have limited financial capacity.”

MedLern has built a world-class full-stack medical training platform that caters to the knowledge needs of healthcare professionals in India and across the globe. The platform offers reliable and up-to-date learning resources and technology to healthcare professionals, allowing them to stay on top of their skills and deliver the best in care. Currently, the company has 150 nursing medical colleges and 400 hospitals in its network, all of which can benefit from this initiative.

With this move, MedLern is giving educators and students the opportunity to access quality education in their native language. This cost-effective system is making basic hospital training, processes, and procedures accessible to all, opening up opportunities and improving the quality of care.
