Coding education startup, TeamSparta Inc., has officially launched the ‘Sparta Coding Club’ in Japan. The online coding education service is geared towards Japanese individuals who are outside of the IT development sector.

‘Sparta Coding Club’ provides practical coding education for beginners who need to gain experience in coding. The 8-week ‘Full-Stack Web Development Course’ curriculum covers the basics of website development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, MongoDB, and AWS.

The platform is a hands-on curriculum that allows students to learn how to code by building things themselves. For those who complete the course, there are additional mentoring opportunities for job hopping and side hustles.

The first course in Japan started on April 15 with 18 students and will finish on June 4. The tutor is Daiki Nagashita, a developer at Pocket Change Inc. Currently, applications are being accepted for the second semester. The first course of the upcoming semester will start on May 29.

Founded in Seoul in 2019, Team Sparta’s mission is to present various lectures that can lower the psychological barrier to coding so that anyone can make a difference through coding. Last year, the company introduced Port99, a developer recruitment one-stop solution that connects developers with companies.
