Educators are always searching for new opportunities to broaden their students’ horizons. To that end, The Design Village (TDV) and TU Delft in the Netherlands have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement aims to promote academic and industrial collaboration between the two institutions, allowing them to explore research opportunities, share knowledge, and develop industry alliances.
The agreement includes a five-year bilateral international industry exchange and cooperation programme. This will provide students with priceless opportunities for cross-cultural education, exposure to different design methodologies, and the chance to apply their skills in real-world settings.
Moreover, TU Delft’s Academic Career Track (ACT) Development Programme offers a variety of training courses and instruments in various fields of study. This enables the students to build their own ACT Personal Development Plan based on their talents, experiences, and preferences.
Vatsal Agarwal, Associate Dean of TDV, commented on the partnership: “This Memorandum of Understanding fortifies our commitment to designing for change and creating a long-term impact, establishing a platform for global and universal learners.”
The Design Village offers a variety of UG-PG courses, such as Bachelor of Design (Bachelor of Product Design, Space & Interior Design, Fashion & Textile Design, Interaction Design, Graphics & Communication Design & Transportation & Mobility Design), Master of Design (Master of Product Design, Space & Interior Design, Fashion & Textile, Graphic & Communication Design), and M. Des Integrated Programme (Graphics & Communication Design, Space & Interior). All of these courses are UGC-accredited and go beyond the traditional approach by aiming to educate not only skilled but also responsible designers capable of tackling the world’s complex challenges for both industry and society.
This collaboration between TDV and TU Delft is an important step forward in the global quest for academic excellence and design innovation. Educators can rest assured that their students will be supported and provided with invaluable resources to help them reach their potential.
