jobhai.com and YuWaah (Generation Unlimited) at UNICEF have partnered to improve employment opportunities for skilled young people in India. The collaboration aims to offer better salary jobs for the youth locally. The startup currently has multiple vacancies listed on the portal for semi-skilled, full-time, and contractual jobs across major cities in India.
The Job Hai app offers several features to help job seekers find the right job. The app allows job seekers to create their CVs or make audio introductions directly through the app, which is a unique feature for the semi-skilled workforce. This feature helps job seekers present themselves better.
Roushan Bharti, Business Head of JobHai.com, said: “We aim to co-create and implement solutions at scale and tackle the employment challenges for youth in India. This collaboration is intended to help us amplify the voices of young people and make them job ready.”
YuWaah (Generation Unlimited in India) at UNICEF is a globally and locally incubated platform hosted with UNICEF as a multi-stakeholder partnerships platform. It is on a mission to connect around 100 million Indian youth with aspirational economic opportunities for productive lives and future employment, facilitating 200 million young people to gain relevant skills for productive lives and the future of work. And engage 300 million young people as active changemakers and create spaces for their leadership development by 2030.
YuWaah had previously collaborated with Indira Gandhi National Open University IGNOU to provide career awareness and guidance to IGNOU students.
