10 Minute School, a leading K12 and skills development EdTech platform in Bangladesh, has announced that it has raised $5.5 million (Tk 61 crore) in its pre-Series A round of funding. This round was led by venture capital firm Conjunction Capital and included several other local angel investors, such as Peak XV’s Surge (previously Sequoia Capital India), the Sovereign venture fund of the Bangladesh Government, Startup Bangladesh Limited, Marquee Angel investor, the Founder & CEO of Indian Unicorn CRED, Kunal Shah, and veteran Bangladeshi Angel investor, the Managing Partner of MyAsiaVC, Sajid Rahman.
10 Minute School was co-founded by Abdullah Abyad Raied, Ayman Sadiq, and Mirza Salman Hossain, and it provides a range of educational services, such as live-streamed classes for K12 students, pre-recorded lectures, university admission test prep, and personalized quizzes. The platform also has over 35,000 recorded video courses, over 82,000 quizzes, and other resources such as practice tests, ebooks, and lecture notes, all covering the national curriculum.

With 52% of its students coming from rural and semi-urban areas outside Dhaka, and 34% of them being female, 10 Minute School is taking steps to bridge the educational gap in Bangladesh and provide high-quality and affordable education to millions of students nationwide.

The participation of Conjunction Capital in this funding round is a testament to 10MS’s potential in improving education in Bangladesh and beyond. Conjunction Capital, a $50 million early-stage technology fund located in the UAE, is expected to bring in global insights and support the startup’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality education.
With this funding, 10 Minute School is looking to expand its technological capabilities, content, and operations, as well as provide personalized learning experiences for students by using AI. The startup also plans to bring in more engineers and product managers to support its tech development.
