EdTechReview.in is excited to highlight the newly announced partnership between ProLiteracy, the most significant adult literacy and primary education organization, and Guild, a leader in opportunity creation for America’s workforce. Through this collaboration, employees of innovative employers, such as Chipotle, Pitney Bowes, Target, and Tyson Foods, have been given the chance to unlock opportunity with employer-funded access to the New Readers Press High School Equivalency Preparation distance learning program.
This program offers the potential for working adult learners to earn their high school equivalency degree, opening up career advancement and higher education. ProLiteracy has long been dedicated to developing resources and tools that help adults achieve their educational goals and transform their lives. With a high school equivalency degree, adults become more employable and can gain better earning potential, leading to economic mobility and a positive impact on their families and communities.
Mark Vineis, President & CEO of ProLiteracy, expressed his appreciation of the partnership: “We are honoured to have been chosen to work alongside Guild and these innovative companies. Through this partnership, we can provide frontline workers with a path to high school equivalency that will lead to promotions and additional education to meet their career and life goals.”
Marty Martinez, Chief Partnerships Officer of Guild, further elaborated on the purpose of the collaboration: “We are thrilled to work alongside ProLiteracy to serve our nation’s working adult learners. The addition of ProLiteracy to Guild’s Learning Marketplace means that learners across the country will have the opportunity to pursue critical foundational learning through high school completion, thanks to the support of their employer. We look forward to seeing how accomplishing this often long-held goal can be a springboard for upward mobility.”
At EdTechReview.in, we believe that education is a powerful tool and that providing access to educational resources can create a brighter future for individuals and communities. We are proud to share the news of this collaboration, which has the potential to open up new pathways for working adult learners. We look forward to seeing the impact of this partnership on those who have been given the opportunity to unlock their potential!
