EdTechReview.in is excited to announce a new partnership between Interplay Learning and the Air Conditioning Trade Association (ACTA) to offer a hybrid HVAC Service Tech Training Program. This program is designed to attract and engage a digital-first generation of students, giving them the knowledge and skills needed to pursue entry-level trades careers.

The two-year HVAC Service Tech program combines Interplay Learning’s virtual courses and simulations with in-person instruction at ACTA’s facility. This hybrid approach provides students with a comprehensive training curriculum anytime, anywhere, allowing them to learn the fundamentals of HVAC and build their confidence before interacting with equipment in the lab.

Interplay Learning’s online training courses and hands-on simulations are the core component of the program, equipping students with the knowledge they need to graduate with the EPA 608 industry certification for HVAC professionals. This certification is vital for entry-level roles in the HVAC industry.

Duke Diltz, Training Director of the Air Conditioning Trade Association, said: “We’re pleased to partner with Interplay Learning to offer this hybrid training program. The HVAC industry needs more technicians, and we want to prepare young, tech-savvy students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. This program will give them a solid foundation in the fundamentals of HVAC while providing them with the innovative hands-on experience they need to get a head start on excelling in their careers.”

Doug Donovan, Chief Executive Officer of Interplay Learning, added: “We are excited to support ACTA in preparing their students to join the next generation of HVAC professionals. Our partnership provides a comprehensive training program that combines the convenience and flexibility of online learning with the hands-on experience and industry certifications necessary to succeed in the HVAC industry.”

Educators and business leaders can use Interplay Learning’s scalable and practical training to upskill their HVAC, plumbing, electrical, solar, hospitality, and facilities maintenance workforces. With expert-led video courses, interactive 3D simulation training, online classroom lessons, and technical labs, Interplay Learning’s platform prepares new technicians to be job-ready in weeks, not years.

The Air Conditioning Trade Association (ACTA) has been providing state- and federally-approved training programs since 1972. These programs include the Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program and Service Technician Training for contractor employees and individuals in the HVAC industry. ACTA is committed to promoting free enterprise, fair and open competition, less government, increased quality training opportunities, and awarding contracts to the lowest responsible bidder.

EdTechReview.in is excited to see the impact of this partnership in preparing the next generation of HVAC professionals. With Interplay Learning’s online training courses and hands-on simulations, the Air Conditioning Trade Association’s HVAC Service Tech program will give students the knowledge and skills they need to pursue successful entry-level trades careers.
