EdTech Review: EvolveMe™ Digital Platform Expands With New Partners to Prepare Teens for Careers
American Student Assistance® (ASA), a national nonprofit dedicated to helping kids learn about careers and navigate a path to postsecondary education and career success, has announced the expansion of its EvolveMe™ digital platform. This platform enables teens to discover high-quality, credible career experimentation activities, such as virtual work-based learning opportunities, mock job interviews, and mentorships; complete tasks; and develop transferable skills that can be applied to any job.
ASA research has found that 87% of learners want to connect talents and interests with potential careers, and 85% prefer to learn about the prerequisites for the jobs they are interested in. So far, EvolveMe™ has engaged more than 600,000 users, and the free mobile resource features more than 80 career experimentation and skills-building tasks with a completion rate of over 70%.
CMO & SVP of Digital Strategy, American Student Assistance®, commented on the platform’s expansion: “Career-focused learning in the classroom can be challenging, now more than ever, during this era of pandemic-related learning loss. At ASA, we believe that student-led, digital experiences beyond the classroom are the best way to scale equitable access and give millions of kids agency in the decisions that will ultimately impact their futures.”
To date, ASA’s digital experiences have engaged and impacted over 12 million teens. Their suite of digital experiences includes Future Network™, a series of videos that explore different careers from industry professionals; Futurescape®, a mobile-first career exploration experience; and Next Voice™, a digital youth advocacy platform.
In addition, EvolveMe™ has formed new partnerships with innovative organizations to help prepare middle and high school students for postsecondary education and career readiness.
