EdTechReview has launched an exclusive educational platform for Web2.0 and Web3.0 developers called Lumos Academy. This platform has been created with the aim of upskilling developers and enthusiasts who are looking to make a smooth transition into the Web3 environment.
The program offers tutorials, exercises, hackathons and incentives such as personalised Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). It has been designed to help developers gain expertise in Web3.0, cryptocurrencies, NFTs and blockchain technology. The curriculum covers three areas: Web3.0 fundamentals, cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
The “Intro to Web3” course starts with the basics, including dApp creation, smart contract interaction, and transactions. It also focuses on simplifying dApp creation and providing resources to allow developers to build on blockchains such as Ethereum, Polygon, Glitch, Internet Computers, using tools such as Truffle, React and Solidity.
Lumos Labs, the team behind Lumos Academy, has partnered with several Web3 players such as Polkadot, Binance, Æternity, NEAR, Polygon, the State Government of Telangana and others to conduct 50+ innovation programmes to help developers build their blockchain applications. The company has disbursed over $10 million in grants and has built a strong community of 60,000 developers.
This initiative is a great opportunity for teachers who wish to stay up to date with the latest technologies. It can help them gain expertise in the blockchain ecosystem and keep their students ahead of the curve. The exercises, tutorials and hackathons can also be used to create engaging lessons plans which can help classroom learning come alive.
We’re excited to see the Lumos Academy platform launch and look forward to seeing the impact it will have on the Web3.0 developer community.
