Amity University and Sekisho Corporation Japan Sign MoU to Develop Talent Pipeline and Strengthen India-Japan Relationship

Educators and students alike have a new opportunity to experience global collaboration that promises to bring about a brighter future. Amity Education Group recently announced a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sekisho Corporation Japan, launching a new partnership between the two organizations.

The MoU establishes a Japan Desk at Amity University, Noida Campus, which will provide students with the ability to seek placements in Japanese organizations. The Japan Desk will also serve as a point of contact for Japanese companies interested in hiring Amity students and will manage career-related events.

The delegation from Sekisho Corporation was led by Mesaki Seki, President of Sekisho Corporation. Sekisho Corporation, established in 1908, began with the sales of petroleum products and has since grown into a general trade firm, expanding and diversifying into areas such as living essentials, autos, IT solutions, and system development.

At the signing of the MoU, Mesaki Seki, President of Sekisho Corporation, Japan, expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome from Amity University. “In Japan, 80% of the population goes to universities, and only 20% go for jobs after school. The MoU signing ceremony is exceptionally significant and is of a large magnitude, marking the beginning of fostering close ties with India.”

Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor of Amity University, stated “This is a visionary initiative by Sekisho Corporation and Amity, which will lead to empowering both organizations. Employability is the most essential aspect at Amity, and Amity leaves no stone unturned to ensure that the students are placed at the best organizations in India and abroad.”

The partnership will also help facilitate exchange programs with universities in Japan and promote Japanese language courses. Sekisho Corporation will provide relevant consultation for Amity Students who wish to work for Japanese companies and disclose related job information of those Japanese Companies.

Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor of Amity Education Group, noted “More than 250 Amity students have been placed at top Japanese Companies, including Sekisho Group, Grape City, NEC, Yamaha and Fujistu, Honda and Hitachi.”
