Teachers looking for an all-in-one solution to teach computer science now have a new tool to help them out. Ellipsis Education, a leader in K-12 computer science curriculum, has launched the Curriculum Delivery Platform (CDP). The CDP is an online portal that makes it easier for teachers to access and navigate the Ellipsis courses they already know and love.
The CDP is designed to be mobile-responsive, with features that streamline the organization, increase access to resources, and improve the look and feel of the materials. The home screen provides teachers with quick access to the courses they can access, color-coded by grade band, along with important information such as the number of days and lesson-level resources. The “Course Details” page provides days of instruction and other lesson-level details such as the type, length, and sequence of the lesson. The “Lesson Detail” page offers the full lesson plan on the left, along with all materials and resources needed to teach it on the right.
Dr Whitney Dove, Chief Executive Officer of Ellipsis Education, said: “We hope teachers will find this delivery tool efficient and attractive to view. Our goal is to put the curriculum at teachers’ fingertips so they spend less time gathering their materials and more time doing what they do best—teaching!”
Crystal Kistler, Middle School Teacher & Ellipsis Education Customer, added: “As someone who has used the curriculum for the past three years, I was so excited to try out the new Ellipsis Education platform. I LOVE the new platform for instructional materials. The new format for each lesson is much more user-friendly than the previous format. Bravo on the new format!”
The CDP is available to current users of Ellipsis Education and will be available to all teachers starting January 1, 2024. Ellipsis Education offers 13 grade-level differentiated full-year computer science courses, each of which comes with teacher training videos, summative and formative assessments, syllabi, standards maps, step-by-step lesson plans, pacing guides, and teacher and student slide decks. The goal of the CDP is to make it easier for teachers to access the resources they need and remove any barriers to teaching computer science.
