The world of corporate training is undergoing a major shift due to the rise of innovative EdTech solutions. One of the most interesting examples of this is Zick Learn, a text-based microlearning platform that has recently raised $547,000 (€500,000) in a funding round led by Italian EdTech investment firm Zenichelli Venture.

Founded in 2021, Zick Learn is revolutionizing corporate training by allowing companies to deliver lessons to employees through corporate chat clients, applications, and platforms that are already being used by staff. By leveraging the power of microlearning, the platform has been shown to improve focus and long-term retention by up to 80% – almost double the rate of traditional learning methods.

Headquartered in Dublin, the company plans to use the new funds to double its workforce in Ireland and increase its global headcount by 50%. This will also facilitate the development of the product, with plans to integrate into Google Chat and Instagram. The primary product team is based in Lviv in Western Ukraine, while the firm has also recently opened a Finchley office in London.

Commenting on the fundraising, Co-founder & CEO of Zick Learn, Matteo Penzo, said: “This is a hugely exciting time for all of us here at Zick Learn. Our ambition is to empower people with knowledge and to further the message that the future of corporate training is just one text away. Through this funding, we plan to expand our capabilities and propel Zick Learn to the forefront of the e-learning market here in Ireland and across Europe.”

Enrico Poli, Director of Zanichelli Venture, also added: “We are delighted to be able to join Zick Learn on this journey. Current, concise and convenient, the technology is unique in its ability to reach a diverse audience, ensuring that learning is just one text away. The last few years have been interesting, with so much innovation in the edtech and digital learning space. Zick Learn is doing something entirely new, and we see great potential in its drive to shake up the approach to corporate learning and development.”
