Technology is transforming the way students assess their skills and talents and connect with potential employers. EdtechReview.in is proud to announce that HireMee, a SaaS-based talent acquisition platform offering a range of talent services, from recruitment to staff management, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Labour and Employment’s National Career Service (NCS). This partnership promises to benefit over 30 lakh eShram registered workers in the unorganized sector who have joined the National Career Service (NCS) portal.

The MoU was signed in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Deputy Director General (Employment) Shri Amit Nirmal, Secretary Ministry of Labour and Employment Smt. Arti Ahuja and Additional Secretary (Labour and Employment) Shri Ramesh Krishnamurthi. As part of this collaboration, HireMee will deploy its competence in offering a 100-minute assessment test that enhances the employability of the youth. The facility will help jobseekers self-assess their suitability for a job through an aptitude test for free. In addition, jobseekers can also upload 3 video profiles of 20 seconds each to grab the attention of potential employers.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment views this partnership from the perspective of the jobseekers of the country. It is aimed at inspiring future collaborations between various government and private organizations to better serve the interests of job seekers and employers.

Commenting on the initiative, Founder & CEO of HireMee, Chocko Valliappa, said: “As a founder who sought to help companies discover diamonds from small towns, I am gratified that 57% of the job opportunities came to youth from tier-3 and tier-4 towns and nearly half of these opportunities were for girl candidates.”

HireMee helps recruiters with everything – from providing pre-assessed and interview-ready candidates, faster screening and better matches through quick video profiles to customized tests and talent management. The Bengaluru-based company offers artificial intelligence (AI) proctored assessment covering seven sections, including core domain for students pursuing their diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The assessment scores of test takers are shared with companies listed on the HireMee platform without any fee.

The startup is recognized for its psychometric tests, which span verbal and quantitative aptitude, logical thinking, behavioural aptitude, programming/coding, communication, and domain knowledge. Its tools can filter questions to generate assessments for any job profile, encompassing various domains.

By working closely with AICTE, National Career Services (NCS), NASSCOM and a few Indian states, the HireMee platform has enabled more than 6.3 lakh students to assess their skills and talents. Through this platform, 2.25 lakh students have been given the opportunity to be considered for jobs in companies.

EdtechReview.in recognizes the importance of this partnership and applauds the Ministry of Labour and Employment for taking such a step to help students acquire the necessary skills and get the job opportunities they deserve. We believe that such initiatives will help students gain more opportunities to pursue their dreams with the help of technology.
