Accelerate Student Learning with Tutor.com and The Princeton Review’s High-Dosage Tutoring Program

Online tutoring platform Tutor.com and education services giant The Princeton Review have announced the launch of High-Dosage Tutoring, an innovative solution for accelerating student learning. Developed using research from Brown University’s Annenberg Institute and the University of Virginia, the program provides 3 or more times per week of intensive tutoring, with small-group instruction for two to four students.

High-Dosage Tutoring is delivered online through the companies’ updated virtual classroom within the award-winning LEO platform. Tutors use ongoing assessments to tailor instruction to each student, while high-quality curricula from The Princeton Review or K–12 partners help reinforce in-school learning. The tutor–student relationship encourages accelerated learning and promotes personalized instruction.

Joshua H.J. Park, CEO of The Princeton Review, commented: “We are thrilled to launch High-Dosage Tutoring to open access to academic pathways for all students. We admire how resilient learners have been and are honoured to partner with schools and districts to help accelerate their learning.”

High-Dosage Tutoring is part of a multi-tiered system of support for K–12 schools and districts, and complements other interventions such as 24/7 on-demand tutoring, drop-off writing review services, and The Princeton Review test prep. Tutor.com has delivered more than 24 million one-to-one online tutoring and homework help sessions to students since 2000, and claims to have more than 3,000 vetted and qualified tutors available.

As teachers look for ways to help students catch up from pandemic-related academic interruptions, High-Dosage Tutoring promises to help make large learning gains in subjects like algebra, where student scores have declined significantly in recent years. Tutor.com and The Princeton Review are committed to providing encouraging, empowering, and effective academic and professional support for learners of all ages and stages, helping to instil hope, advance equity, and catalyze achievement in schools and communities.
