The demand for job-ready graduates is increasing in the 21st century. To bridge the gap between academia and industry, ICA Edu Skills, India’s leading vocational training & placement institute, has entered into a collaboration with Techno India University, Sister Nivedita University, Sharda University, Royal Global University, and Suresh Gyan Vihar University.

This partnership will offer students a three-year full-time graduation programme. The programme includes two years of classroom training and one year of paid internship. Additionally, ICA Edu Skills will provide placement assistance to students at the end of the course.

The collaboration aims to design courses that are relevant to the current needs of the job market. The courses such as Business Administration, Data Science and Commerce will equip the students with the relevant skills and knowledge to pursue a successful career. To ensure the courses are in sync with the changing demands of the job market, ICA Edu Skills and its university partners will collaborate with industry leaders to identify emerging trends and skill requirements.

ICA Edu Skills began its journey in 1999 to make job-seeking youngsters in India employable at a low cost. The platform has widened its horizons to provide practical training to its students and assist them in obtaining employment at top organizations and MNCs. It has also partnered with the NSDC and is working in partnership with the central and state governments to train and place candidates in industries such as BFSI, Retail, IT/ITES, Apparel, Gems and Jewellery, Hospitality, Healthcare, Telecom, Automobile, Agriculture, Logistics, Construction, Media & Entertainment, and Beauty & Wellness. Through this, ICA is working towards the realization of the “Skilled India” national vision.

Education technology can play an important role in this process. It can provide a platform for students to learn job-ready skills, access industry trends, and get placement assistance. It can also help teachers to update and enhance existing curricula to keep in sync with the changing job market demands. By leveraging technology, ICA is setting a great example of how to bridge the gap between academia and industry in India.
