EdTechReview.in is excited to announce the news of OBM Education, a leader in college guidance, career readiness and future orientation for students in Egypt, receiving a massive six-figure investment from Value Maker Studio (VMS). This collaboration is sure to significantly expand OBM’s presence in the Saudi educational industry.
Omar El-Barbary and Ezz El-Din Farag founded OBM in 2020 to give pre-university students access to the resources they need to make the right college choices and jumpstart their career paths. The startup’s Taleb Super App has been a game-changer in the MENA region, providing students with accurate assessments, premium services, and tailored content. OBM’s goal is to bridge the gap between high school students and the 21st-century job market by providing them with the necessary personal and professional development opportunities.
Commenting on the investment, Omar El-Barbary, CEO of OBM Education, said that it was more than just money: “It is a symbol of our shared vision and commitment to improving every student’s educational journey.”
As part of the agreement, VMS’s upcoming “Bridge Programme” will be available in January 2024 and will give OBM access to a variety of resources, such as funding, technology services, legal counsel, financial management, and HR experience.
Dr. Ezz El-Din Farag, COO of OBM, added that “OBM’s mission is to recognize and nurture the potential in each student, and partnering with VMS only amplifies this goal.”
Saudi Arabia is taking a proactive approach to integrating education and technology with its Vision 2030, aiming to become a knowledge-based economy. The country’s young population, digital literacy, and commitment to digital infrastructure make it the perfect place for innovative solutions like the Taleb Super App.
Moataz Abou Onoq, Founder of VMS, remarked that the Bridge Programme is “a testament to our dedication to helping startups grow” and that partnering with OBM Education is “so much more than business; it is a joining of forces to better education.”
OBM Education previously secured a second round of funding from EdVentures in August of last year. With this latest investment from VMS, teachers and students alike can expect to see OBM Education’s presence in the educational landscape only continue to grow.
